Lois Leaver - Scottish Kayaking Selection

Lois (S2 pupil) has been selected to train with the Scottish Kayak Slalom Team in London.

Lois will be training alongside fellow Scots as well as members of the British Team at the London 2012 Olympic white water slalom course at Lee Valley.  Good luck and congratulations on this fantastic achievement!

Swimming successes

Congratulations to seven pupils from JGHS who won regional heats to qualify for the School finals in Glasgow last weekend. 

Taylor Finlayson won Gold in the Girls 15/16 Yrs 200m Butterfly and Silver in the Girls' 15/16 Yrs 100m Butterfly and both Liam McLauchlin and Thoma McSkimming won a bronze medal each. Huge well done to all involved and good luck to those going on to compete in Sheffield this coming weekend.

Investment competition

Message from Ms Forrester earlier today:

The second year team of Eilidh Cargill, Bonnie Kerr and Vivienne Palomino 2K4 have reached the semi final of the national Student Investor competition.

Their opponents in the semi final include Eton College and Manchester Grammar School.
